8月27日[2.4.2] 每一事件,有终极的第一因,有媒介的第二因


神掌管万事万物的进行,所以撒但指使罪人犯罪的事,也在神的主权掌管之下。我们可以举约伯的例子,他是虔敬的义人,遭到示巴人与迦勒底人的掠劫。他们刀杀了约伯的仆人,又夺去他的骆驼羊群(伯1:13-17)。他们的恶行是如此凶残,撒但是主使者。圣经说这一切恶都是出自撒但的恶谋(伯1:12)。然而,约伯认出神掌管此事,他说这些恶人抢夺去的,原是神赏赐给他的,如今神收取回去(伯1:21)。


同一事件的发生,是撒但唆使恶人所作的,也是神的主权掌管。这事是出于神,然而撒但与强盗恶人并不能脱罪,更不能归咎于神。从神的主权目的,我们不难理解:神的目的是以这场灾难来考验操练约伯的信心,这是试炼他。反过来说,撒但的目的是要试探约伯,想要迫使他绝望失去信心。而示巴人与迦勒底人的目的,则是以非法残暴方式掠劫约伯的财物,图利自己。


从神的旨意施行方式,我们也看见:神允许撒但来打击他的仆人约伯,并且容许撒但鼓动示巴人与迦勒底人作行恶的工具,也任凭他们被撒但驱使行恶。反过来说,撒但以毒辣方式发动这些人的恶念情欲。而他们疯狂杀害掠夺,将他们的肢体献给罪,以至于不洁不法(罗6:12-13,19)。圣经说: 撒但在悖逆之子心中运行,罪作王叫人死,罪的统治是如此邪恶(罗5:21)。


圣经也明说神的护理掌管,掌控撒但的作为,撒但是神施行管教与刑罚的工具。神透过撒但的恶谋与罪人的恶行,来施行公义的审判刑罚,以达到善的目的。所以,同一件事,我们说终极原因是出于神,而媒介原因是出于撒但、出于示巴人与迦勒底人,这没有冲突矛盾。由于在目的与方式的极大差别,使我们看见同一事件彰显了神的公义与慈爱,也同时见证了撒但与罪人的丑陋邪恶的。所以,约伯说:“赏赐的是主耶和华,收取的是主耶和华,主耶和华的名是应当称颂的!”(伯1:21)。


伯 1:13 有一天,约伯的儿女正在他们长兄的家里吃饭喝酒, 伯 1:14 有报信的来见约伯说:“牛正耕地,驴在旁边吃草, 伯 1:15 示巴人忽然闯来,把牲畜掳去,并用刀杀了仆人;惟有我一人逃脱,来报信给你。” 伯 1:16 他还说话的时候,又有人来说:“ 神从天上降下火来,将群羊和仆人都烧灭了;惟有我一人逃脱,来报信给你。” 伯 1:17 他还说话的时候,又有人来说:“迦勒底人分作三队,忽然闯来,把骆驼掳去,并用刀杀了仆人;惟有我一人逃脱,来报信给你。” (和合本 CUV)

伯 1:12 耶和华对撒但说:“凡他所有的,都在你手中;只是不可伸手加害于他。”于是撒但从耶和华面前退去。 (CUVS)

伯 1:21 说:“我赤身出于母胎,也必赤身归回。赏赐的是耶和华,收取的也是耶和华;耶和华的名是应当称颂的。” (CUVS)

罗 6:12 所以不要容罪在你们必死的身上作王,使你们顺从身子的私欲。 罗 6:13 也不要将你们的肢体献给罪作不义的器具;倒要象从死里复活的人,将自己献给 神,并将肢体作义的器具献给 神。 罗 6:19 我因你们肉体的软弱,就照人的常话对你们说:你们从前怎样将肢体献给不洁不法作奴仆,以至于不法;现今也要照样将肢体献给义作奴仆,以至于成圣。 (和合本 CUV)
